One of our former guests, 10 years old, wanted to share her Christmas joy with you and created this work of art. She and her mom are doing great in their apartment. Merry Christmas!
A former guest who graduated from HOMe and now lives in her own apartment with her children is on a fitness journey. She and her two children completed their first 5k this weekend for the Mooresville Christian Mission Turkey Trot.
Lake Norman Home Builders Association donated $5000 for the fourth year in a row to help make sure The Lights are Always On. That puts gets us closer to our $50,000 goal. Even though they have had to cancel their own fundraisers, they still felt our mission deserved attention. So who's going to match this
Congrats to our guest who just enrolled at Mitchell Community College. The financial aid dept worked very hard with us to make sure she could attend at no cost. Thanks Mitchell and study hard!
One of our guests who graduated into her own apartment a few months ago is in need of a full size mattress, preferably new. We have a box springs so just the mattress. If you can help, call Donna 980-447-9007 or email [email protected].
Volunteer Casey McPeters rescued our Main St. office from a weed infestation. He works at one of our favorite businesses, Adams & Associates Architecture. Thanks for coming through Casey!
Each week we take our guests to FeedNC where they can shop for free groceries on pantry day. How awesome is that? Please pass this info along to anyone who may need this service. You have to sign up on FeedNC, formally the Mooresville Soup Kitchen
A very full house! A little chaos does not get in the way of progress. New guest just moved in with 2 children, another guest raised her credit score and a third guest was able to increase her work hours to focus on saving for an apartment. Goals in motion.
Congratulations are in order for a HOMe guest who recently secured a new full-time position with benefits! She put her job hunting skills to work and they paid off. This guest also opened a bank account so she can begin saving for her future. Way to go!
