There are many ways to volunteer at HOMe both on and off site. In house opportunities include female volunteers to cover shifts on weekends and an occasional night shift. Although we have two full time, round-the-clock staff, they will need time off and our program requires that we have a HOMe representative in the house at all times. Please click “In-House Opportunities” on the menu to see more details.
IN-HOUSE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITES
We are thankful for the hard working volunteers that have helped us build the HOMe house. Now that we are finished and ready to open our doors, we are entering the next phase of our mission. We are now looking for Female Volunteers to help out in the house. The following are volunteer positions needed to cover shifts at the house when our employees are not on-site.
*2-3 hour shifts during the weekdays
*2-4 hour day shifts on Saturday and Sunday
*overnight shifts mainly on weekends when our peer support caregiver has 1 weekend off a month.
While at the house you will be house sitting and monitoring to make sure things are running smoothly. You can do things such as, reading a book, watching TV, baking, or interacting with children and guest in the house, as they welcome it.
Please contact Julie Wooldridge at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in helping HOMe. Julie is a board member and was in charge of organizing the volunteers for the construction project. When responding, please let her know if you are interested in weekdays, weekends, or overnights.
For the safety of our guests, all volunteers are subject to a background check.
